Testing for ‘femaleness’?

This is a very interesting and smart article over at the NY Times. I guess the Chinese are going to continue a tradition of trying to verify if one is a ‘male’ or ‘female.’
Unfortunately, another terrible event. I wonder if the ‘brilliant’ Ramin Setoodeh will write another perspicuous article re: this terror.
I am in the final days of my visit to Idaho - so greetings from sunny Northern Idaho.
