I also wanted to post a few links of people who have been critical of Senator Clinton’s remarks about race. Bob Herbert wrote this editorial (NY Times password required.) In it, he quotes Charlie Rangel, Senator Clinton’s most powerful African-American supporter as saying, “I can’t believe Senator Clinton would say anything that dumb.” I also think this is a really good article about some of the demographic trends and concerns among working class whites toward Obama. It’s fair and balanced, and not in a Fox News kind of way. Also, Andrew Sullivan delivers as always. His article is interesting because he looks inside Obama’s numbers among whites and finds some interesting demographic insights relative to age and education level.
